Trying To Treat My BV Again (Graphic)?
For the passed two nights I’ve been using Metrozonidale Gel to treat my BV which I’ve had for a year now. I did this treatment for 5 days back in September of 07 and it didn’t help so I had some left over. I can’t stand the itching and the odor so I’m using the last of what I have.
Anyways my question is about the discharge that’s coming out. Anytime I wipe I see bright red blood (no clots & not enough to say its a period) and a lot of brown specks of stuff. There’s also yellow discharge coming out along with the gel.
Also my right ovary is hurting (mild stabbing pains) and has been for about 2 weeks now. I don’t have a gyno because of my insurance (you have to love Medi-Cal!) and my doctor is extremely incompetant.
Anyone have any advice to give me about the MetroGel discharge and the stabbing pains? Thank you!
BV=Bacterial Vaginosis & Vaginitis
I took the flagyl pills and they did nothing to help my BV which I’ve had since Oct. of 2006.
The MetroGel is working wonders so I’m a little happy, but apprehensive because I want to get rid of this infection so bad!
I’m trying to change doctors, but the insurance people are giving me crap as usual.
This is to the answerer Susan:
Metronidazole gel is used for treating rosacea. Metronidazole vaginal gel is used for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis (also referred to as Hemophilus vaginitis, Gardnerella vaginitis, or nonspecific vaginitis), a bacterial infection of the vagina. It is not effective in treating another common vaginal infection, Candidal vaginosis ("yeast infection").
*I got this info off this website*:

I just don’t want people to get false information because MetroGel is hardly used to clear up yeast infections. metronidazole is a type of flagyl. I know this because I’ve suffered with BV and I’ve done plently of research.
