Bacterial vaginosis is a condition characterized by the overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria and an organism called gardnerella in the vagina of women. A little number of these organisms is naturally present in the vagina, however, when vaginosis occurs, the organism gardnella produces excessive amounts of amino acids that raise the pH level in the vagina, thereby allowing the proliferation of anaerobic bacteria.

As these bacterial strains continue to multiply, they overwhelm the beneficial types of bacteria thriving in the vaginal area that aids in maintaining the pH levels balance and disinfect the area. If you find that you already have the infection, there are numerous bacterial therapies that can cure this condition.

In treating the infection with a bacterial vaginosis holistic therapy, the natural balance of the vagina’s pH level should be brought back so that the beneficial bacteria may be allowed to grow and combat the harmful anaerobic bacteria and gardnella.

There are a lot of ways in doing so, both in terms of ingestion of natural bacterial vaginosis holistic therapy or in terms of physical application of potent substances to the vaginal area. These forms of treatments are relatively simple and use all natural ingredients.

Bacterial vaginosis is a normal thing for most women, as a matter of fact, majority of women already have the bacteria present in their vaginal areas. Treating the area through bacterial vaginosis holistic therapy and avoiding environments that encourages the growth of harmful bacteria is the easiest way to ensure that the infection does not take place or you can treat it once it has.

Does BV always have odor?

I have had itching and burning and all of the symptoms (besides discharge issues) of a yeast infection and have treated it as such. Well the symptoms would go away for a little while and then come back. I decided to buy a screening kit to see what was going on and if it might be something else. Well my PH levels were high which could mean Trich or Bacterial Vaginosis, but I do not have any strong pungent odors or super weird discharge. I can’t see my doctor for awhile, so I just wanted to see if it’s possible if it is still BV or not.
