For about a year now i have had cloudy smelly urine and its been horrible, i was on holiday for a month at the time so left it, thinking it would go away.I went to the doctors and he treated me for a UT, i had a Urine test and everything was fine. Then it then started to hurt when i had sex, it had never hurt previously but i had stopped using condoms and was on the pill, the same time my urine started to smell. Last christmas i went to have this sorted, i was swabbed and had urine tests and it came back i had thrush. i had this treated, but my urine still smelt bad and the pain during sex really hadn’t gone. i was then referred to a G.U.M Clinic and he said it was Bv and i was tested for STI as well and was clear. So i used the antibiotics for B.V even though i had no fishy smelling discharge and whilst on them, my urine didn’t smell but did when i came off them, I went to the doctors and he prescribed more for longer , throughout this course i would have random smelling urine but not as frequent, now i’ve finished it still smells again, and i know thrush can come from antibiotics so now i don’t know what i’ve got. I have been to the doctors so much and got nothing from it that seems to have cleared anything. I don’t know if its BV, THRUSH, a UTI or what, as nothing has permanently solved my problems. i’ve been told i’ve had bloody sugar and kidney tests and i know thrush can be passed back and forth between partners but i don’t think thrush would make my Urine smell this bad or cloudy, it is worse after sex, but can be like it without days of sex. Has anybody else had something like this? what should i do? the doctors don’t seem to know what to do and any treatment they do could give me another problem, i.e anti-biotics and thrush.Should i just treat for thrush because i’ve just come off antibiotics and treat my partner?
I have no other medical problems, i am 18 and am average weight and height. i have used canesten to treat the thrush.
